Blue Angels win Trace Cup

The Trace Cup format was a team match play event. Head Pro Mike Krick recaps the tournament: A two person team played three matches against the other two person team. Each match was six holes. The first match, regardless of where you started, was a scramble. The second match was a modified alternate shot and the last match was a better ball of two. Each match was worth one point for a win or a 1/2 point if you tie-- the possiblilty for three points during a match. The team that accumulated the most points wins the cup and shop credit. The Blue Angels, captains were Mike Krick and co-captain Bill Fox who won the cup. A brief history of the Trace Cup tournament reveals the Blue Angels have won the cup four times and the Red Devils have brought home the cup twice.
