Sunday Couples Winning Team
Seventy-six players enjoyed an exciting day of Sunday Couples Golf. A large group of couples compete one Sunday per month. The format for March's tournament was one best ball on par 3s, two best balls on par 4s and three best balls on par 5s. The winning team (pictured left) was Ron and Diane Conti and Ken and Ginny Seeger (pictured right) with a score of 132. After competitors finished golf, they all gathered around the Marathon Bar for drinks and good times. Congrats to all that played.

Clubhouse Ahead of Schedule
The progress of the new grand 30,000 sq. ft. clubhouse is ahead of schedule. The Building crew is working 6 days a week, and our Building Committee is working 7 days a week. By mid-March we have steel beams up and a lot of the framing completed on the lower level. Also, Tim Hart and his ground crew relocated the scoreboard near the Marathon Bar, Pool and Tennis complex area. Our future is very bright! Now is the time to upgrade your membership or consider joining, before expected increases in the initiation fees nearing clubhouse completion.

April's Dinner with Friends, "April Fling," is on the 9th with cocktails at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30.

Ace Spotlight
FORE! Here we go again. Saturday, February 21, 2009, Joe Turak (pictured first) aced the tenth hole on Creek. “Most solid shot I hit all day. It never left the flagstick, landed three feet short of the pin and rolled right in.” This is Joe’s second hole in one. Congrats Joe!
Tracer’s you’re on FIRE! Ron Heppell (pictured second) makes it four holes in one for the month of February. He took down #13 Lake from the blue tees on Thursday February 26. His fellow competitors said the six iron was “dead solid perfect” and never left the flag stick. This is Ron’s second ace. Nice job!
